Pokemon of the Day

Exeggutor

A Mewtwo killer, Psychic, and Grass Pokemon all Rolled into one!
Yes, it's good ole' Exeggutor. Exeggutor may look wierd, but its a GREAT pokemon. With
the right attacks, you have an AWESOME pokemon. (Its also hard to beat!).
I recommend these attacks:

Sleep Powder
-This is vital for Exeggs. With Sleep Powder, you have a 74%
chance of
putting the enemy to sleep. Sleep Powder causes the second best status cange,
Freeze being the best. ^_^


Mega Drain
-This is Exeggs Grass attack. Since Exeggutor is part Grass,
it gets a 1.25 bonus. (If it was a full grass type, it would get a 1.50 bonus, or 1.5)


Double-Edge
-Exeggs has an alright attack. The problem with Double-Edge,
is that it gives you re-coil. But, you can recover the lost HP with Mega
Drain.

Psychic
-One of the BEST moves in the game, IMO. You also get a 1.25
bonus since Exeggutor is part Psychic.

Move of the day

ThunderBolt

ThunderBolt is this weeks move of the day.  It has less power than it's more powerful counterpart Thunder, but its accuracy is what makes is a better choice(99.6%).

This wonderful move also has a chance of paralysis.  The tm for this move is obtained at the Vermillion City Gym from Lt. Surge.

ThunderBolt has the highest average damage of all electric attacks, but, it can't be learned by any pokemon naturally other than pikachu in the yellow version at level 26.

(Sandslash)

Unused pokemon of the day

Sandslash

Yellow Pokedex entry:  It is skilled at slashing enemies with its claws. If broken, they start to grow back in a day.

This pokemon has well rounded stats, but his special isn't really high. Being a ground type, this pokemon is strong against poison and rock types, but when it comes to electric pokemon, there is no competition, sand slash would win hands down (unless he was facing zapdos with his dual flying type).  This pokemon 

I would suggest this move set:

Earthquake-strongest Ground type move in my opinion, and he gets the 1.5 type bonus

Body Slam-Best normal type move

Swords Dance-To improve his attack

Double Team
